Pattern artwork provided by Teacher Chen Bi-Wen

The type stencil film is convenient for drafting and cutting. It can be washed repeatedly, is brush-resistant without burrs, and is suitable for screen printing.

Printing Process

1. Prepare the screen frame

Use a #200 screen frame.
Cardboard can be cut and glued to the edge of the screen frame.

2. Prepare the stencil film

Cut out the printing pattern from the stencil film.

3. Apply spray glue

Spray glue on the back side of the stencil film.

4. Attach the stencil film

Paste the glued stencil film directly onto the printing paper (or cloth surface).
This increases adhesion and prevents color from blooming or spreading.

5. Position the screen frame

Place the printing paper in position, cover it with the screen frame, and adjust the printing position.

6. Add pigment

Put the printing pigment on top of the screen.

7. Scrape the pigment

Use a scraper to press and spread the pigment across the screen.

8. Remove the stencil film

After printing is completed, carefully remove the stencil film.

Teaching Advantages

  1. The stencil film is highly water-resistant and printing-resistant.
It can be washed repeatedly and is not easily damaged.

  2. It can be used for screen printing after the brushing process.

  3. The screen frame can be shared, and printing ink can be reused (separated by color).

  4. It is recommended to use #200 or #150 screens, which are suitable for printing on paper or cloth.
