Sofe EZ Plate

The production of Sofe EZ plate prints uses poster paint for coloring and palm pressing to complete the work, even without any printmaking equipment.

The plate is suitable for drawing and engraving with various pen tools. It is soft and easy to engrave.

The edge of the notch is flat, and the printed image is clear. It is suitable for painting on the plate, with good paint adhesion. Poster paint, watercolor, and ink can all be used for coloring.

Operation Process Reference

After pen engraving is completed, apply poster paint repeatedly, and imprint the work by hand.

1. Engraving

It is recommended to use a thick pencil (triangular pen for children's calligraphy) to draw thick outline dent lines on the plate.

2. Make Alignment

Take a piece of board or thick cardboard as the base. First draw the size and position of the printing paper, then fix it in the center with a small amount of double-sided tape.

Fix the plate and the final printing paper on one side of the registration board.

3. Coloring

Use poster paint to color the areas of the plate. Be careful not to paint into the dented lines.

4. Imprint

After coloring a small area, immediately cover it with printing paper while the paint is still wet, and press with the palm and fingers.

5. Complete the Picture

Repeat coloring and imprinting until the work is completed.

It is recommended to apply darker colors first, then lighter colors, layering to increase color depth and hierarchy.
